Qualifications

• PhD level education in a relevant field.
• Experience growing different species of microalgae and biochemical characterisation techniques, including protein analyses.
• Ability to assess resources and plan/progress work activities.
• Experience liaising with industry partners is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct algae biotechnology research and generate biomass.
• Characterise biomass and monitor process parameters.
• Collaborate with industry partners to deliver biomass for valorisation.
• Plan, organise and manage research projects to meet deliverables.
• Adapt skills to new challenges and develop creative solutions.
