Job summary

Change Grow Live in London is inviting applications for an Alcohol Recovery Coordinator. You will support service users from entry through treatment, conduct screenings, assessments and recovery planning, and help reduce alcohol-related harm within the community.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of substance misuse issues.
• Experience of working with groups/pods and managing group dynamics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising.
• Knowledge of mental health interventions and good practice.
• Ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders.
• Commitment to information governance processes and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Support service users from entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
• Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
• Reduce drug and alcohol-related harm to service users and the wider community.
• Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
• Provide advocacy for access to partnership services.
• Work with service users to support social reintegration and recovery.
• Research, design and prepare materials for groups/pods and deliver structured content.
• Engage in debriefing and evaluations with co-facilitators after groups, reviewing progress.
• Tailor workshops around service users' needs.
