Job summary

WHSmith Careers is seeking a Team Leader to guide and inspire a team, delivering excellent customer service and achieving business objectives. You’ll lead by example, foster development, and create a welcoming environment where colleagues feel valued and proud of their store.

You will be responsible for engaging staff to meet KPI targets, including ATV, while maintaining safe, compliant store operations and a positive customer experience across shifts.

Qualifications

• Current/recent retail leadership experience (preferably in a fast-paced environment) with KPI knowledge such as ATV.
• Experience of proactively leading from the front, getting stuck in, and helping your team on the shop floor.
• Flexibility to support other stores in the area when needed.
• Ability to build strong relationships and communicate clearly and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Guide and engage your team to deliver excellent standards and results in line with the Trading plan.
• Create a culture of learning, support and recognition and identify development opportunities for skills and product knowledge.
• Support colleagues in an environment where everyone feels valued and welcome.
