Job summary

Optime Group, aviation recruitment experts, in partnership with a leading Ground Handling Company at Luton Airport, invites motivated individuals to join as Turnaround Coordinators. You will work in a fast-paced environment ensuring aircraft turnaround from arrival to departure, with a strong emphasis on safety, paperwork, and punctuality.

The role offers a 6 on/3 off rotating schedule at around 30 hours per week, with pay of £17.50 per hour rising to £18.71 after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Full manual driving licence required.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a secure and efficient aircraft turnaround from arrival to departure, focusing on safety and effectiveness.
• Complete all required paperwork for aircraft turnaround accurately and in line with protocols.
• Adhere to airline and airport policies at all times.
• Provide exceptional customer service to passengers and help manage disruptions.
• Assist customers during disruptions with effective problem solving and prompt resolution of issues.
• Coordinate with third-party suppliers to ensure seamless services.
• Work in all weather conditions (cold, rain, wind).

What's on offer:

• Rate of pay: £17.50 per hour increases to £18.71 after 12 Months
• Shift Pattern: 6 on / 3 off, 30 hours weekly.
• Weekly Pay ( every Friday)
• Temp to Perm (performance based)
• Shift timing:
• Winter: earliest start at 5:00 a.m. and latest finish at 12:00 a.m.
• Summer: earliest start at 4:30 a.m. and latest finish at 2:00 a.m.
  (Shifts are between 6 and 8 hours long)

Key Duties:

• Ensure a secure and efficient aircraft turnaround process, managing all aspects from arrival to departure with a focus on safety and effectiveness.
• Thoroughly complete all necessary paperwork associated with the aircraft turnaround, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant protocols.
• Maintain strict adherence to both airline and airport policies, guaranteeing compliance at all times.
• Consistently provide exceptional customer service to passengers, aiming to exceed expectations and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
• Assist customers effectively during disruptions, demonstrating problem-solving skills and a commitment to resolving issues promptly.
• Establish effective communication and collaboration with third-party suppliers, fostering positive relationships and ensuring seamless coordination of services.
• Happy work in all weather conditions e.g in cold, rain and wind

Shifts:

The Airport is operational 7 days per week and candidates will be working on a 6 on 3 off rolling rota. This could be subject to change to 5 on 3 off !

Requirements:

• Full Manual Driving Licence
• Excellent communication skills at all levels
• Excellent organisation skills and attention to detail
• Ability to quickly and accurately react to any given situation
• Work well as part of a team, and as an individual
• Right to Work in the UK
• Five year fully checkable reference history
• Ability to pass Criminal Record Check (CRC)
