Warehousing Solutions Ltd at Luton Airport is seeking Airport Cleaning Operatives to support the 24/7 terminal operations. You will maintain clean, safe and hygienic spaces, including lounges, desks and arrival halls, while providing friendly passenger assistance.

The role is fast-paced, requires reliability for early starts or late finishes, and offers full training with opportunities for progression. It is based on-site at Luton Airport with permanent and shift-based positions available.

Qualifications

• Reliability: ability to commute to the airport for early starts or late finishes.
• Communication: good level of spoken English to communicate with team and passengers.
• Physical fitness: able to be on your feet for the duration of a shift and perform cleaning tasks.
• Attitude: can-do approach and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Terminal Maintenance: clean high-traffic areas incl. lounges, desks, and arrival halls.
• Washroom Hygiene: clean, disinfect and restock facilities.
• Waste Management: empty bins and keep floors clean.
• Specialist Cleaning: operate cleaning equipment (training provided).
• Security Awareness: report unattended baggage or suspicious activity to Airport Security.
• Customer Service: assist passengers with directions or facilities.

Salary: £17.50 – £24.50 per hour (Shift premiums for nights/weekends)

Job Overview

We are looking for hardworking and reliable Airport Cleaning Operatives to join our terminal services team. You will be the face of the airport, ensuring that passengers have a world-class experience in a clean, safe, and hygienic environment. This role is fast-paced and essential to the 24/7 operation of London's busiest travel hubs.

Key Responsibilities

• Terminal Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining high-traffic areas including departure lounges, check-in desks, and arrival halls.
• Washroom Hygiene: Ensuring all restroom facilities are cleaned, disinfected, and restocked to a high standard throughout the shift.
• Waste Management: Emptying bins, recycling properly, and ensuring floors are free of litter and spillages.
• Specialist Cleaning: Operating industrial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuum cleaners (training provided).
• Security Awareness: Remaining vigilant and reporting any unattended baggage or suspicious activity to Airport Security immediately.
• Customer Service: Providing friendly assistance to passengers who may have questions about directions or facilities.

Requirements & Skills

• Reliability: Ability to commute to the airport for early starts (e.g., 4:00 AM) or late finishes; flexibility with shift patterns is essential.
• Communication: Good level of spoken English to communicate with team members and passengers.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift and perform manual cleaning tasks.
• Attitude: A "can-do" approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a large team.
