Job summary

KONE is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead projects from Slough/Heathrow with occasional Gatwick assignments, coordinating construction managers, subcontractors and on-site engineers. You’ll drive scope, schedules and budgets, while nurturing customer relationships and ensuring profitability.

The role emphasizes leadership without direct line management, adherence to KONE methodologies, and maintaining a sharp focus on safety and delivery excellence across sites.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in lift/escalator projects or similar technical environments.
• Experience coordinating site teams, subcontractors and engineers to meet scope/budget/schedule.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management to balance customer needs and profitability.
• Ability to lead project teams without direct line management responsibility.
• Airport security clearance required; five-year background checks and support through the process.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project delivery in line with scope, schedules, budgets and quality standards.
• Be the main point of contact for customers, managing questions and changes.
• Review proposals, define work plans, resource needs and monitor costs.
• Coordinate construction managers, subcontractors and on-site engineers.
• Oversee materials logistics and ensure timely deliveries to sites.
• Identify risks and delays, implementing actions to keep projects on track.
• Provide direction and motivation across project stakeholders to drive progress.
• Balance customer expectations with commercial objectives to deliver profitable outcomes.
