Job summary

NATS is seeking a Duty Engineering Officer to deliver immediate engineering response at London Luton Airport, overseeing ATS assets and on-site faults, with supervision of contractors where required.

You will manage planned and corrective maintenance, prioritise faults, maintain competency ratings, and provide guidance to customers and management while on shift, including on-call duties and adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• HNC Level 4 or SQF Level 7 in Electronics, Telecommunications or CS.
• Apprenticeship with demonstrable engineering experience in a safety-critical field.
• Experience with ATSEP or maintenance on safety-critical systems.
• Full UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for reporting and managing operational engineering systems on shift.
• Prioritise faults and direct resources for safe restoration of service.
• Maintain competency ratings and provide guidance to customers and management.
• Supervise watch-keeping staff and contractors and ensure compliance with the NMS.
• Participate in planned maintenance and on-call rotas.
• Drive company vehicles when required.
