Job summary

NATS seeks an on-site Duty Engineering Officer to manage operational engineering systems at airports, including 1st level maintenance, fault restoration, and contractor coordination. You will prioritise faults and supervise watch teams to ensure rapid, safe restoration of service.

Responsibilities include planned maintenance, incident reporting, and compliance with Safety Management Manual and local procedures. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualification with safety-critical systems understanding.
• Proven ability to prioritise actions under pressure and maintain records.
• UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as focal point for reporting and management of operational engineering systems on shift.
• Prioritise faults and direct resources to restore service safely and quickly.
• Supervise watch keeping staff and contractors and ensure compliance with NMS.
• Conduct post-incident procedures and provide incident reports when required.
• Participate in planned maintenance and track long-term faults and projects.
