Job summary

Sodexo Live! at London Stansted Airport is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support chefs with food and beverage presentation, ensuring quality and consistent display according to specifications.

You will follow food ratio guidelines where applicable, keep buffet and stock levels refreshed, and uphold hygiene standards in line with HACCP.

Ideal candidates have kitchen assistant experience, are highly motivated, and can work independently within a team, bringing energy to every shift.

Qualifications

• Kitchen assistant experience is a must.
• Highly motivated and able to work on own initiative within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with the presentation of all food and beverage, ensuring quality, quantity are consistently monitored and display is as per set specification.
• Where possible, if introduced, follow food ratio guidelines set out by Emirates.
• Ensure buffet and stock levels of all food and beverage items for a la carte service are properly maintained and replenished regularly as required and in accordance with food safety standards. Control and monitor hygiene standards as per HACCP.

Main Responsibilities

• Assist the chef with the presentation of all food and beverage, ensuring quality, quantity are consistently monitored, maintained and display is as per set specification.
• Where possible if introduced follow food ratio guidelines set out by emirates are followed.
• Ensure buffet and stock levels of all food and beverage items for a la carte service are properly maintained and replenished regularly as required and in accordance with food and safety standards. Control and monitor hygiene standards as per HACCAP.

Ensure that all products stored or displayed are date coded, stock rotated and labelled correctly using the shelf life rule.

• Ensure that sufficient preparation is completed for the following shift.
