Job summary

Deerfoot IT Resources Limited is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to support Heathrow operations on-site. This 12-month contract covers Level 1–2 incidents, preventative maintenance, deployments and upgrades, with frequent travel between airport locations.

You will serve as the primary technical contact for operational teams, work within security procedures and contribute to incident records, health checks and system validation. Travel and on-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical field support, IT infrastructure or airport operations, supporting business-critical operational systems.
• Proven troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and network fundamentals.
• Strong customer service skills and the confidence to work independently across multiple locations.
• A full UK driving licence, willingness to travel extensively and to work airside, subject to airport security clearance.
• Desirable: airport industry experience, border control, passenger processing, self-service or biometric technologies, supporting kiosks, gates, workstations and network-connected devices, ITIL Foundation, Health & Safety awareness training, experience in regulated operational environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for airport systems, resolving incidents within SLA and escalating complex faults.
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, corrective repairs, equipment replacement and health checks.
• Install, configure and commission hardware/software for new deployments and upgrades through go-live.
• Act as primary technical contact for operational stakeholders and airport authorities with regular service updates.
• Work within airport security, permit-to-work and Health & Safety procedures; maintain accurate incident and asset records.
• Participate in on-call rota, handle emergency restorations during incidents and night maintenance windows.
