Job summary

ESP Global Services is hiring for an Airport Engineer in the UK to support passenger processing and baggage systems in a live international aviation environment.

You will install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot airport IT systems, support check-in, boarding, and baggage handling, and work with airlines and airport operations to keep 24/7 services running. Training is provided, no prior airport experience required.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
• Good customer service and communication abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot airport passenger processing and baggage systems.
• Support check-in, boarding, self-service kiosks, automated bag drop, eGates and baggage reconciliation systems.
• Diagnose hardware, software and peripheral issues including scanners, printers, passport readers and biometric devices.
• Monitor system performance, respond to incidents and restore services quickly.
• Work with airlines, airport operations, baggage teams and technology vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Support system upgrades, testing, deployments and airport technology projects.
• Maintain technical documentation and follow airport security, safety and cybersecurity requirements.
• Participate in shift and on-call support to help maintain 24/7 airport operations.
