Job summary
Gatwick Airport Limited is seeking an experienced Control Engineer to join the Engineering Control Centre. You will support customers with safe and efficient operations, coordinating maintenance and emergencies, and deputising for the Engineering Operations Manager as needed.
The role requires strong leadership in a fast-paced airport environment, with knowledge of Safe Systems of Work, regulatory compliance, and engineering practices across airport facilities.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations in airport facilities.
- Inspiring leadership abilities in fast-paced operations.
- Strong understanding of Safe Systems of Work and compliance.
- Experience with engineering relating to airport operations.
- Good budgeting understanding and financial awareness.
Responsibilities
- Control engineer for the GAL/UKPNS electrical distribution network (up to 33kV).
- Coordinate permits and work requests on shift according to policy and regulation.
- Maintain availability of Engineering services and coordinate technicians on shift.
- Collaborate with emergency services to provide engineering expertise during incidents.
- Manage safe systems of work and contractor management systems.
