Job summary

VINCI Building UK is recruiting a Building Services Manager to lead MEP packages during pre-construction and delivery across projects in the West Midlands, starting with Birmingham Airport. The role focuses on appointing sub-contractors, delivering design coordination, and ensuring on-time, on-budget completion within safety standards.

Based in Solihull, the post requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and a track record on multi-million-pound schemes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction, UK experience, sub-contractor or main contractor.
• At least 5 years in a project management role, with MEP subcontracting experience.
• Strong leadership, client-focused approach, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication, planning and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of mid to high-value MEP subcontract packages on Life Science, Healthcare, Leisure, Residential, Education and Commercial projects.
• Ensure compliance with project objectives and budgets.
• Drive MEP cost control process support, ensuring strict adherence to financial constraints.
• Provide technical support to the onsite construction activities to maintain progress and quality.
• Enable the supply chain to perform through coordination with other trades and site management team.
• Manage off-site design process with Building Services design Manager from RIBA Stage 2/3 to Stage 5.
• Manage on-site design process at Technical Design and Construction stages.
• Assist the Design Manager in discharge of their tasks.
• Foster strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, specialists, suppliers and construction teams.
• Provide technical support to delivery team and supply chain in active building systems (HV, fire, security, water treatment, BMS).
• Contribute to MEP bids and preconstruction phases.
