Job summary

gategourmet is seeking a General Assistant to join its airport kitchen team in Crawley. You will help prepare food tray sets, perform temperature and quality checks, and support the packing and delivery of equipment to flights.

The role requires a good standard of English, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Shifts include weekends and early starts; prior catering or hospitality experience is helpful but not essential.

Qualifications

• Good standard of English both written and verbal.
• Experience in a production/manufacturing/stores environment desirable.
• Able to work shifts and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

• Preparing food tray sets and conducting temperature and quality checks.
• Checking stock and flight trolleys, unloading incoming trollies for cleaning.
• General washing, sorting, assembling and packing airport equipment; stripping trolleys and delivering to departments.
• Sealing flight canisters, trolleys and recording numbers.
