Job summary

dnata Catering UK is seeking a General Assistant to join our busy team at London Gatwick for weekend work. You will help ensure that meals and goods arrive on time for airline customers, supporting production, packing and stock control in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

The role is seasonal full time, paying £13.39 per hour, with benefits including free meals on site, parking, health plan discounts, and an in-house apprenticeship programme.

Qualifications

• Be able to handle pork and alcohol products.
• Be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility.
• Be prepared to work in a chilled environment.
• Have a basic understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and plating food
• Handling of packed food goods
• Packing amenity kits and flight condiments
• Stacking shelves
• Rotation of stock
• Re-ordering of dry stock
• General cleaning
• Waste removal
• Washing airline equipment to industry standards
• Inspecting goods ensuring there is no prohibited items
• Checking stock for any damages
• Completion of paperwork
