Job summary

dnata Catering UK at London Gatwick seeks a General Assistant to join our busy Production team. You’ll help prepare, pack, and handle goods to ensure on-time delivery for airline customers.

The role involves working in production, equipment, wash, and stock control areas, standing for long periods, and complying with hygiene and safety standards in a chilled environment.

This permanent, full-time position offers on-site meals, parking, pension benefits, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Be able to handle pork and alcohol products.
• Be prepared to stand for long periods of time and have good mobility.
• Be prepared to work in a chilled environment.
• Have a basic understanding of English.

Responsibilities

• Production: Preparing and plating food, handling packed goods, packing amenity kits and flight condiments.
• Equipment: Stacking shelves, rotation of stock, re-ordering dry stock.
• Wash: General cleaning, waste removal, washing airline equipment to industry standards.
• Search and Seal: Inspecting goods for prohibited items, checking stock for damages, completing paperwork.
