Job summary

Babcock is seeking an Aircraft Technician for on-site work at St Athan, near Barry, Vale of Glamorgan. The role is full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:15 to 17:15, on location at St Athan.

You will support aircraft engineering, line and depth maintenance, and a range of technical activities to ensure aircraft meet the highest standards. Security clearance may be required; a full UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Recognised Aircraft Apprenticeship, Military aviation experience, NVQ Level 3 qualification, or equivalent engineering qualification.
• Knowledge of aircraft maintenance engineering procedures.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supporting aircraft engineering, maintenance and servicing activities.
• Preparing aircraft for daily flying operations and operational requirements.
• Carrying out ground handling activities, including fuel and oil replenishment.
• Assisting with scheduled and corrective maintenance activities in line with approved procedures.
• Following technical data, engineering instructions and maintenance documentation to support safe aircraft operations.
