An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Britten-Norman. Due to ongoing growth, we are now recruiting for an Aircraft Technician to join us at our Lee-on-the-Solent site.

As an aircraft technician, you will perform aircraft maintenance, repair, and modifications either at our home base maintenance facility or deployed at other locations across the world. You will carry out planned and reactive work in accordance with regulations and our internal processes and procedures.

Britten-Norman is the producer of one of the most successful civil aircraft ever manufactured in the UK and is now the UK's only independent civil aircraft manufacturer. We are also a leading aerospace SME, offering a market-leading range of aviation-related services internationally.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance activities in accordance with regulations and our processes and procedures.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishments, modifications, repainting, pre-buy inspections, and unplanned work such as AOG response, customer support, and defect rectification.
  • Ensure the delivery of work to quality, time, and budget standards, completing required documentation using our M.R.O software systems.
  • Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships and open communication.
  • Pay keen attention to detail and follow required processes.
  • Work well under pressure to achieve collective goals and deadlines.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and enthusiasm for working in a growing company.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
  • Aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent.
  • Experience working on light utility, unpressurized aircraft.
  • Sheet metal work and airframe riveting skills.
  • Fault identification, isolation, and rectification abilities.
  • Mechanical airframe modification experience.
