Job summary

Volantes Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Aircraft Refueller/Handler to ensure the fleet is correctly positioned and fuelled to support Flight Operations and Base Maintenance.

The role requires hands-on refuelling and aircraft handling experience, strict adherence to HSE, JIG/IATA rules and the ability to work shift patterns with occasional travel to Shawbury site.

Responsibilities

• Handle and refuel aircraft in accordance with JIG regulations and health & safety compliance; including rotors running refuels.
• Maintain Health and Safety at all times per internal policy.
• Supply fuel to aircraft by tanker vehicles and ensure correct quantity delivered.
• Operate in line with JIG, IATA, Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs and ASIG regulations.
• Conduct vehicle checks, execute quality control procedures, identify defects and report.
• Report incidents and provide required reports.

Job description

Refueller Handler

We are looking for an Aircraft Refueller/Handler to be responsible for ensuring that the aircraft fleet is positioned and appropriately fuelled to schedule in support of Flight Operations and Base Maintenance activities.

Main Responsibilities

• To handle and refuel aircraft in accordance with JIG regulations and compliance with Health and Safety regulations and security requirements, including Rotors Running Refuels.

• To ensure Health and Safety is maintained and respected at all times including internal policy.

• Supplying fuel to aircraft by tanker vehicles and ensuring that the correct quantity of fuel is delivered.

• Operating in accordance with JIG, IATA, Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs and ASIG regulations and procedures.

• Conducting vehicle checks by carrying out the designated quality control procedures. Identifying any defects found and reporting accordingly.

• Reporting any incidents and providing reports as required.

Experience

Essential

• Aircraft re-fuelling experience.

• Aircraft handling experience

• Health and safety awareness and respect is essential.

• Experience of supporting busy Flight Operations.

Desirable

• Helicopter re-fuelling experience, including rotors running.

Knowledge and Skills

Essential

• Up to date knowledge of H&S appropriate to HAZMAT, Helicopter Operations and active airfields.

• High level of numeracy and literacy skills required.

• Strong work ethic and team working skills.

• Excellent communication skills.

Desirable

• Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS

Education, Qualifications, and Training

Essential

• Valid driving licence with LGV C+E and ADR (Class 3 in tanks) and DQC (CPC)

Desirable

• Digital Tachograph Driver Card.

Additional Requirements

• Required to work shifts as part of normal working pattern.

• Occasional Travel required to work at Shawbury site, Shropshire, if operationally required.
