Job summary

Boeing Defence United Kingdom Limited is seeking an MRO Mechanical Technician to join our UK maintenance team. You will perform assigned aircraft tasks, interpret technical data and ensure compliance with approved processes and certifications, delivering on schedule with high first-time quality.

The role requires strong communication, a trade apprenticeship background, and familiarity with MAA regulations and Part 145.

Qualifications

• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Good communication, ability to sequence technical work and lead a team.
• Ability to interpret technical documents, drawings and publications.
• Knowledge of MAA RA, MRP Part 145, QA and SMS requirements.
• Experience in aviation maintenance, either commercial or defence, is a plus.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned maintenance tasks, following Approved Technical Data and certifications.
• Execute aircraft maintenance to meet schedule milestones with first-time quality.
• Deliver maintenance under Boeing MAA MRP Part 145 or MOD approvals as required.
• Assemble, disassemble, modify or repair aircraft systems and structures.
• Troubleshoot complex systems to isolate faults and repair components.
• Be flexible with locations and shift times to meet delivery deadlines.
• Mentor apprentices/trainees and provide guidance to peers.
• Mitigate risks and escalate issues promptly, contributing to improvements.
