Job summary

JMC Aviation is recruiting an Aircraft Mechanic to join a leading aviation organisation. The role focuses on maintenance tasks, safety, and compliance with established procedures. A strong emphasis is placed on accurate documentation and adherence to MOE standards.

Candidates should have an apprenticeship in the aircraft industry and proven line maintenance experience, with familiarity in Airbus wiring modifications and production planning. Excellent English and MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship in aircraft industry is required.
• Proven line maintenance experience is essential.
• Experience with wiring modifications on Airbus family is preferred.
• Ability to interpret technical publications and make factual decisions.
• Working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning.
• Strong English language skills, written and spoken.
• MS Office literacy for paperwork and record-keeping.
• Right to work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine maintenance tasks using current procedures.
• Follow Tooling Policy at all times.
• Prioritise Health & Safety and Human Factors in all actions.
• Complete required paperwork in line with Storm MOE standards.
• Keep work area, hangar bays and facility clean and tidy.
• Notify the company of significant findings promptly.
• Raise safety reports when hazards or incidents are identified.

• 5/5/4 day shift pattern, working 12 hour shifts

About the Role

On behalf of our client, a leading organisation in the aviation industry, we are currently recruiting for an Aircraft Mechanic. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic environment with a strong focus on safety, compliance and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete routine and non-routine maintenance tasks as directed using the latest approved documentation and procedures
• Observe and adhere to the company Tooling Policy at all times
• Maintain awareness and ensure best practises are observed for Health & Safety and Human Factors
• Ensure all paperwork is completed to the required standards and in line with the Storm MOE
• Ensure that they keep their personal work area, hangar bays and facility clean and tidy at all times
• Notify the company of any significant findings as soon as possible
• Raise a safety report on identifying any hazard or the following of an incident

Candidate Requirements

• A recognised apprenticeship within the aircraft industry or similar
• Proven experience in a line maintenance environment
• Experienced in completing wiring modifications primarily on the Airbus family of aircraft but Boeing aircraft would also be an asset
• Ability to interpret technical publications and make fact-based decisions
• Have a working knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance Production Planning
• High standard of English language (written and oral)
• High standard of computer literacy, especially Microsoft Office Suite
• Right to work in the UK
