Job summary

British Airways is seeking a Maintenance Programme and Configuration Engineer to review, translate and manage aircraft maintenance and configuration data within our IT systems. You will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure regulatory compliance and support projects such as new aircraft entry, retirements, and data migration.

The role requires strong data analysis, problem solving and IT literacy, with knowledge of AMP and EASA/CAA rules highly valued.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
• Aerospace engineering Part 66 licence or degree desirable
• Understanding of aviation regulations desirable
• Willingness to gain further qualifications as required

Responsibilities

• Technical development, set up, maintenance and regulatory compliance of the Aircraft Maintenance Programmes and all related controls.
• Set up and control of AMI’s, Maintenance plans, master parts list and aircraft configuration.
• Assess regulatory requirements and directives and implement actions for continued airworthiness.
• Review manufacturer communications for safety, reliability and cost implications.
• Approve technical changes to improve safety, reliability and reduce costs.
• Represent BA in industry working groups when required.
• Maintain AMP data in EWS for Aircraft and components and manage MPL-based configurations.
• Set up of new aircraft controls and configurations.
