Job summary

British Airways is offering a four-year Licensed Aircraft Engineer Apprenticeship in Glasgow. You will combine college study with hands-on hangar experience, progressing through licensing and type approval pathways aligned to CAA Part-66 requirements.

The programme starts in September 2027 with a starting salary of £17,339 and a structured route through years 5–7+ toward a B licence and Type Approval. Applications close 19 November 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE English (A*-C / 9-4) at minimum.
• A Level Mathematics (England and Wales) or Higher Mathematics (Scotland) required.
• A Level Physics, Engineering or Chemistry (England and Wales) or Higher Physics or Engineering Science (Scotland) required.
• Equivalent Level 3 qualification accepted (e.g., Diploma in Aeronautical/Mechanical Eng).
• International equivalents accepted.
• Right to live and work in the UK.
• Ability to meet attendance and patterns of the programme.
