Job summary

Menzies Aviation in London is seeking a hands-on De-Icers Team Lead to guide a shift of de-icing operators, ensuring timely and safe aircraft treatment in line with airline requirements.

You will oversee quality, safety and security, maintain training records, and liaise with customers and airline representatives. A full DVLA licence and proven de-icing experience are essential. Training is provided; you will uphold health and safety standards and contribute to a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership on shift and people management.
• DVLA driving licence required.

• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of De-Icers on shift and communicate with staff and management.
• Check that all security checks are performed when required.
• Aircraft De-icing and anti-icing per procedures with training provided.
• Record de-icing events and report safety / inspections to management.
• Support training of de-icing operators and maintain training records.
• Oversee the Batching Plant operations.

Role Purpose

Leading a team of De-Icers on shift. Possess good leadership and organisational skills with the ability to communicate at all levels including staff from de-icers through to management. Must have confidence and the expertise to liaise with customers and airline representatives. The post requires oversight of quality, safety and security whilst de-icing aircraft and must adhere to airline specifications and timeframes. The ideal candidate must be motivated and will strive for the best possible standards in keeping our environment safe and compliant.

What you will be doing

• Check that all security checks are being performed when required.
• Aircraft De-icing
• Apply de-icing/anti-icing with full training provided
• Responsible for recording de-icing/anti-icing events, reporting to management regarding safety, SMART inspections. Daily/Monthly operational inspections.
• Support with the training of de-icing operators and ensure training records are maintained in line with company policy
• Oversight of the Batching Plant
