Airbus - Procurement Information System and Processes Specialist

Job Description: Subject to the successful closing of the transaction with Spirit, after obtaining relevant regulatory approvals.

Location: BELFAST

Job Purpose: A new opportunity is now open at AIRBUS UK in BELFAST. In this role, you will integrate the PY directorate responsible for Procurement Governance and Strategy across the AIRBUS group. You will work for PYD, the international AIRBUS group centre of competence for Procurement digital solutions and processes, supporting AIRBUS commercial, Airbus Defence & Space, and Airbus Helicopters.

You will focus on transforming the procurement information system, collaborating closely with relevant functions at Airbus in Belfast. You will act as the project leader for the SAP/4 Hana transformation project, migrating the main procurement application (MAXIM) from IBM to S/4 Hana.

If you have experience in procurement and project management within the digital domain, especially with SAP or S/4 HANA, this role is suitable for you.

How You Will Contribute to the Team

1. Manage projects and applications related to Procurement processes and Information Systems (PYD), interfacing between Procurement business and IT departments.
2. Design, specify, coordinate, model, test, implement, and manage projects for new digital solutions to enhance procurement efficiency in Engage, Supply, and Control supplier processes.
3. Support and manage changes in the Airbus Belfast procurement information system.
4. Lead the SAP/4 Hana transformation project, including feasibility analysis, risk assessment, operational impact, cost savings, procedural documentation, and change management, translating business needs into specifications and user stories using Agile methodology.
5. Coordinate deployment, testing, cut-over, training, and support activities.
6. Maintain the functional architecture of the procurement information system, collaborating with business stakeholders and IT.
7. Serve as the subject matter expert for Airbus procurement tools like SAP, bridging business and technical/IT domains.
8. Manage Business Change Requests by understanding needs, translating for technical teams, coordinating, and implementing continuous improvements.
9. Drive digital transformation initiatives across functions and stakeholders in Europe, promoting harmonized ways of working.
10. Maintain up-to-date change management documentation and communicate regularly with stakeholders.

About You

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Information Management, or Computer Science.
• Deep knowledge of digital transformation and procurement processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in project management, digital transformation, and procurement within a global industry or tech company, in a transnational environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to propose and drive solutions based on past experience.
• Ability to work independently, requiring guidance only in complex situations.
• Agility in managing people and topics, with experience navigating multi-functional and transnational environments.
• Customer-focused mindset and attention to detail, capable of translating business needs into technical terms and vice versa, employing project management methodologies like Agile.
• Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, supporting the company's reputation and sustainable growth.
