Job summary

Thales is seeking an experienced Systems Architect to deliver architecture for airborne products. Based in Reading, with potential travel to customer sites and other Thales locations. The role focuses on conceptual and detailed design, integration and delivery, and delivering mission system programmes.

The candidate will apply systems thinking, derive and model architectures using MBSE, and document decisions and rationale while ensuring compliance and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering and MBSE.
• Ability to derive system capabilities, functionalities and behaviours.
• Experience with MBSE tools and SysML.
• Familiarity with ARCADIA framework and Model Based Systems Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Apply systems thinking to architecture design for the product lifecycle.
• Derive and model the solution architecture using MBSE approaches.
• Identify methods to test and validate the architecture.
• Detail design decisions and rationale in documentation.
• Develop system design in line with architecture and requirements.
• Perform system modelling using engineering tools.
• Manage requirements flow-down from customer to sub-systems.
• Support verification methods to demonstrate customer needs.
