Job summary

Thales is a global technology leader hiring a Systems Architect for the Reading area. The role is based in Reading with hybrid working, and may involve travel to other Thales sites and customer facilities.

The successful candidate will design and validate system architectures for airborne products, balancing stakeholder needs, technical feasibility and regulatory compliance. You will document decisions and lead MBSE activities in a cross-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience deriving system capabilities and behaviours with MBSE approaches.
• Ability to manage technical requirements, analyses and documentation.
• Proven track record in aerospace/defence projects.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Define and recommend architectures to satisfy stakeholder expectations.
• Establish solution architecture and trade-offs between costs, risks and schedule.
• Plan work, write and verify requirements and technical reports.
• Lead system modelling and verification activities.
• Ensure design certification and compliance with contracts and legislation.
