Job summary

Net Zero Careers is seeking an experienced Air Source Heat Pump Engineer to join a growing renewable heating team. The role covers installation, commissioning, servicing and maintenance of domestic heat pump systems, with an initial project in Suffolk and future work across Hertfordshire and the South East.

You will ensure safety, reliability and efficiency of heating systems, explain operation to customers and work with other trades to deliver high-quality installations.

Qualifications

• Experience with air source heat pump installation/commissioning.
• Knowledge of domestic wet heating systems.
• Experience with heating controls and system upgrades.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently in customers' homes and as part of a wider team.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission domestic air source heat pump systems.
• Service, maintain and repair renewable heating systems.
• Connect pipework, radiators and hot water cylinders.
• Upgrade and modify heating systems.
• Diagnose faults and solve technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
• Test systems for efficiency and operation.
• Explain operation and provide user guidance.
• Collaborate with surveyors and electricians.
• Maintain records of work and commissioning results.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and customer service.
