Job summary

Freight People Recruitment CZ is seeking an Air & Road Freight Import Clerk to join the Heathrow Airport branch. You will manage the full import process from origin to final delivery and customer invoicing, working closely with a small import team.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in freight forwarding, with hands-on import experience, knowledge of ASM Sequoia is a bonus, and strong organisational and communication skills. Occasional remote out-of-hours work is paid separately.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding, ideally in an import role.
• Practical knowledge of air and/or road freight imports.
• Understanding of the import process from origin through to final delivery.
• Experience with customs clearance.
• Familiarity with freight management systems; ASM Sequoia is an advantage.
• Good organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a small team.
• Good communication skills and a customer‑focused approach.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple shipments.

Responsibilities

• Arranging and coordinating air and road freight imports from origin to final delivery.

The role covers the full import process, from arranging shipments with overseas origins and receiving pre-alerts through to customs clearance, final delivery and customer invoicing. The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in freight forwarding, preferably with hands‑on import experience.
