Air Import Coordinator – Sunday to Thursday – Feltham

Job Summary:

Our client, who are looking a gobal forwarder are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Air Import Coordinator to manage the timely and efficient movement of air freight and information. This role ensures smooth operations within the Air Import department while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Job type: Permanent

Shifts: Sunday to Thursday – 07:00 to 15:00

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage smooth and timely freight process flow for air imports.
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry in the operating system.
• Track and trace air import files using internal systems, airline websites, or direct communication with airline offices.
• Coordinate timely delivery of import freight to customers.
• Send documents promptly to customers or brokers for customs clearance.
• Ensure accurate and prompt billing for clients and vendors.
• Communicate with customers to arrange international shipments and meet service expectations.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors including airlines and trucking companies.
• Maintain compliance with internal standards and external regulations, including Operational Process Standards (OPS) and government/customs requirements.
• Continuously review and improve departmental process flow for efficiency.
• Follow and update customer-specific standard operating procedures (DLSOP).
• Achieve performance standards and KPIs as per company procedures.
• Respond promptly to overseas communications and internal/external requests.
• Promote a culture of compliance, integrity, and pride in all duties performed.

Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviours:

• Experience in Air Imports working for a UK based freight forwarder
• UK based with right to work in the UK (No sponsorship is on offer)
• IATA Certification preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to achieve positive outcomes.
• Proactive and highly organized, with a focus on detail and efficiency.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
