Import Coordinator (FCL) – Tilbury, Essex

We are partnering with a Freight Forwarding and Logistics company looking for an experienced Import Coordinator (FCL) to join their team in Tilbury. This position will be responsible for managing FCL and LCL shipments, coordinating deep-sea and air freight imports, and ensuring that customers, suppliers, and subcontractors communicate effectively. If you have significant freight forwarding expertise, this is an excellent opportunity to advance in the sector.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Facilitate communication among clients, suppliers, shipping lines, hauliers, and depots to maintain seamless operations.
• Handle FCL and LCL shipments to ensure the timely and efficient transportation of products.
• Manage deep-sea and air freight imports by tracking shipments and coordinating logistics.
• Monitor vessel arrivals to keep ahead of scheduling and delivery requirements.
• Audit supplier invoices for correctness, resolving errors as needed.
• Initiate and manage internal files to ensure organizational efficiency and document management.
• Create invoices to ensure correct billing and financial documentation.
• Coordinate collections and deliveries while prioritizing customer deadlines.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience in the freight forwarding industry, particularly with import coordination.
• Strong understanding of deep-sea imports and air freight logistics.
• FCL experience, including proficiency in full container load shipments.
• Proficiency with CNS, MultiFreight, or Destin8 software.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizing abilities.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
