Job summary

Brook Street Recruitment is working with our Mallusk client to recruit an Air Export Agent. You will manage shipments from booking to delivery, ensuring documentation and data entry are accurate while coordinating with customers, airlines, brokers, and internal teams for compliant, timely service.

The role requires 6–12 months in freight forwarding or logistics, proficiency in MS Office, and a strong eye for detail.

Qualifications

• 6–12 months of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry; air freight experience is beneficial.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• GCSEs in Maths and English required; A-Level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full air export process from booking through to final delivery.
• Ensure accurate data entry into the company operating system.
• Track and trace air export shipments via airline systems and direct communication with airline offices.
• Coordinate delivery of freight and paperwork to customers and brokers for customs clearance.
• Prepare and process export documentation accurately and within required timelines; ensure invoicing accuracy.
• Build strong relationships with customers by delivering excellent service and shipment support.
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Complete annual training in line with company standards.
• Support the wider operations team as required.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing air export shipments from booking through to final delivery, ensuring all documentation, communication, and system updates are completed accurately and efficiently.

You will work closely with customers, airlines, brokers, and internal departments to deliver a high standard of service while ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the full air export process from booking through to final delivery
• Ensure accurate and timely data entry into the company operating system
• Track and trace air export shipments internally and externally via airline systems and direct communication with airline offices
• Coordinate the timely delivery of freight and shipment documentation to customers and brokers for customs clearance
• Prepare and process export documentation accurately and within required timelinesEnsure accurate and timely customer and supplier invoicing
• Build strong relationships with customers by providing excellent customer service and shipment support
• Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
• Complete required annual training in line with company standards
• Support the wider operations team as required

Criteria

• 6 months to 1 year of experience within freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry - air freight experience is very beneficial
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• A positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop
• Good level of education, preferably A-Level standard, with minimum GCSEs in Maths and English
