Job summary

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Air Conditioning Installation Engineer in Manchester. You will install high-standard split AC systems, lead installations on site, and mentor a junior engineer or apprentice. A valid F-Gas qualification and full UK driving licence are essential.

Overtime is paid at x1.5, with a company van and mobile phone provided. Salary ranges from 35,000 to 42,000 and includes 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, plus a pension.

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established and highly respected specialist in industrial and commercial cooling, for an experienced Air Conditioning Installation Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

My client prides themselves on high-quality, professional installations and doing the job right first time. They are looking for an engineer who takes real pride in their work.

What my client is offering:

Salary of 35,000 - 42,000 depending on experience

Excellent work-life balance: Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm, Friday 8:30am - 2:30pm

Overtime paid at time and a half outside of standard hours (8:30am - 5:00pm)

Door-to-door travel paid

The Role:

You will be working installing split air conditioning systems to a very high standard. You will be trusted to lead installations independently on site, supported by a junior engineer or apprentice.

What they are looking for:

Proven experience installing split air conditioning systems, including refrigerant pipework, containment and associated installation works

You must hold a valid F-Gas qualification

Confident leading installations independently with a junior engineer / apprentice

Someone who works quickly, efficiently and neatly - producing work to a very high standard

VRF / VRV installation experience would be a distinct advantage

Completed apprenticeship and NVQ Level 3 preferred, although my client will consider experienced engineers without these

Full UK driving licence is essential

Reliable, punctual and a positive attitude
