Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading HVAC organisation, providing planned and reactive engineering support to customers across the region.

The role involves maintenance, fault finding, and commissioning of HVAC and air conditioning systems, with exposure to VRV/VRF, chillers, and split systems. Field-based work requires independent site attendance and a strong customer-facing approach.

Qualifications

• HVAC service and maintenance experience required.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Ability to work independently on customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive calls.
• Commission and service HVAC equipment including VRV/VRF and chillers.
• Attend call-outs and emergencies; identify service opportunities.
• Support apprentices and junior engineers on site.

Service Engineer - HVAC

Location: Herefordshire | Field Based

Salary: £50,000-£52,000 + Company Van

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading HVAC organisation, providing planned and reactive engineering support to customers across the region.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, repairs and fault finding
• Commissioning and servicing HVAC and air conditioning equipment
• Working on VRV, VRF, chillers, split and close control systems
• Attending reactive call-outs and emergency breakdowns
• Completing risk assessments and maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Identifying additional service opportunities while on customer sites
• Supporting apprentices and junior engineers where required

About You

• C&G 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• F-Gas qualification
• Strong experience in HVAC/Air Conditioning service and maintenance
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently across customer sites
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
