Job summary

Clear Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer for field-based work in Herefordshire. You will perform maintenance, repairs and fault finding on a range of HVAC systems, including VRV/VRF, chillers and split systems, across customer sites.

You will also support apprentices and ensure high safety standards on every site. The role requires relevant qualifications, a driving licence, and strong communication with customers.

Qualifications

• HVAC air conditioning service and maintenance experience.
• C&G 2079 or NVQ Level 2 + F-Gas qualification.
• Full UK driving licence and strong fault-finding skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, repairs and fault finding.
• Commissioning and servicing HVAC and air conditioning equipment.
• Work on VRV, VRF, chillers, split and close control systems.
• Attend reactive call-outs and emergency breakdowns.
• Complete risk assessments and maintain high safety standards.
• Identify additional service opportunities on customer sites.
• Support apprentices and junior engineers when required.

Salary: £50,000-£52,000 + Company Van

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

We are looking for an experienced Service Engineer to join a leading HVAC organisation, providing planned and reactive engineering support to customers across the region.

The Role

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, repairs and fault finding
• Commissioning and servicing HVAC and air conditioning equipment
• Working on VRV, VRF, chillers, split and close control systems
• Attending reactive call-outs and emergency breakdowns
• Completing risk assessments and maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Identifying additional service opportunities while on customer sites
• Supporting apprentices and junior engineers where required

About You

• C&G 2079 or NVQ Level 2 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
• F-Gas qualification
• Strong experience in HVAC/Air Conditioning service and maintenance
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Comfortable working independently across customer sites
• Good communication and customer-facing skills
