Office Owls Recruitment Limited is seeking a fully qualified Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our field operations team. You will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, reactive repairs, and minor installations across commercial client sites.

You will work on VRV/VRF systems, split units, multi-splits, chillers, and AHUs, serving clients across retail, healthcare, corporate, and leisure sectors.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent Level 3 diploma).
• City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1 certificate.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Ability to pass Enhanced DBS check.
• Extensive experience in a mobile role working on commercial HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled PPM visits and mandatory F-Gas compliance checks across commercial systems.
• Respond to emergency call-outs to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical faults, achieving first-time fixes wherever possible.
• Carry out minor system replacements, retrofits, and equipment upgrades across major equipment manufacturers.
• Serve as a technical point of contact on site, providing clear recommendations on system efficiency, remedial work, and asset lifecycles.
• Ensure strict adherence to safe working practices, RAMS, dynamic risk assessments, and environmental standards.
• Participate in a scheduled standby/call-out rota to support urgent client requirements.
• Complete detailed service sheets and asset logs on company handheld devices immediately following site visits.

Job Summary

We are seeking a fully qualified Mobile Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our field operations team. As a technical specialist, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, reactive repairs, and minor installations across a wide portfolio of commercial client sites.

You will work on various HVAC and climate control systems—including VRV/VRF systems, split units, multi-splits, chillers, and AHUs—serving clients across retail, healthcare, corporate, and leisure sectors.

Requirements & Qualifications

Essential Criteria:

• NVQ Level 3 in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (or equivalent Level 3 diploma).

• Valid City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1 certificate.

• Full UK Driving Licence.

• Ability to pass standard security screenings and an Enhanced DBS check.

• Extensive experience in a mobile role working on commercial HVAC systems.

Remuneration & Benefits

• Salary: Up to £46k + Monthly Bonus + Standby + Overtime (£55-60k)
