Job summary

LUNO Recruitment is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to cover Leicester and surrounding areas. The role involves maintaining, servicing and troubleshooting a range of HVAC systems, including split systems, VRF/VRF units, and chillers, with a 40-hour workweek and core hours Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in maintaining, servicing and repairing HVAC systems (split, VRV/VRF, chillers).
• F-Gas Cat 1 certification is essential.
• Valid UK driving licence and ability to work in a field-based role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot HVAC systems to minimise downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement repairs.
• Inspect systems and coordinate with contractors for complex upgrades.

Job description

This is a full-time role, covering Leicester and the surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair techniques
• Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Effective communication and customer service skills
