Job summary

Excel Engineering Recruitment LTD in London is seeking an HVAC Engineer to service and maintain a range of air conditioning systems on a mobile basis across Surrey, Middlesex, and West/Southwest London.

The role offers a £45‑55k salary, a 40‑hour week, van with fuel card, overtime, and 20 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with on-call standby. The ideal candidate has F-Gas and City & Guilds NVQ qualifications and strong customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Recognised air conditioning qualifications (F-Gas, City & Guilds NVQ).
• Experience with VRV/VRF, splits, and AHU systems.
• Experience with service and maintenance contracts.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out service and preventative planned maintenance on a wide range of air conditioning appliances.
• Maintain systems such as VRV, VRF, splits and multi‑split systems.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Be available on call 1 week in 6/7 with standby allowance and overtime rates.

Job Overview

Work on a mobile basis across Surrey, Middlesex, West/Southwest London delivering excellent customer service to high‑end residential apartment blocks (landlord side only), offices, and other commercial sites.

Responsibilities

• Maintain systems such as VRV, VRF, splits and multi‑split systems.
• Provide excellent customer service.

Candidate Information

• Good customer service skills, well‑presented, articulate, ability to build trust and rapport with clients.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills: accurately identify faults on VRV, VRF, splits, AHU systems, and ability to change compressors.
• Recognised air conditioning qualifications (F‑Gas, City & Guilds NVQ).
• Experience in air conditioning service and maintenance contracts.
