Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking a site-based Air Conditioning Engineer to join a National Facilities Management Organisation near Leicester, Leicestershire. The role covers maintenance and repair of a variety of air conditioning systems, with core hours Monday to Friday and an on-call rota.

The successful candidate will have proven HVAC experience, F-Gas Cat 1 certification, and a strong focus on safety, reliability, and customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar in facilities management.
• F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems: installation, maintenance, repair.
• Familiarity with refrigeration principles and equipment.
• Proficient at diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical/electrical faults.
• Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot air conditioning systems (split, VRV/VRF, chillers).
• Perform routine maintenance: clean coils, replace filters, move parts.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical/electrical faults for minimal downtime.
• Inspect HVAC systems and recommend solutions.
• Coordinate with maintenance personnel and contractors for complex repairs.
• Follow safety protocols and industry regulations.

Site based Air Conditioning Engineer - Leicester - National Facilities Management Organisation: FMCG

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Air Conditioning Engineer to join our clients team of facilities management professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC maintenance and repair, responsible for maintaining and servicing air conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and end-client satisfaction.

This is a site based opportunity, located near Leicester, Leicestershire.

Package

• Competitive salary of up to £42,000 per annum (depending on experience)
• Core hours are Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
• Participation in 'out of hours' on call rota

Responsibilities

• Maintain, service and troubleshoot a variety of air conditioning systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF systems, and chillers
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning coils, replacing filters, moving parts, to prolong the lifespan of HVAC equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in air conditioning units, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency
• Conduct inspections and assessments of HVAC systems to identify potential issues and recommend appropriate solutions
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and contractors to coordinate complex repairs and system upgrades
• Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations to promote a safe working environment

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Air Conditioning Engineer or similar role within the facilities management industry
• Hold your F-Gas Cat 1 Regulations certification
