Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to cover the Central Belt of Scotland. The role involves servicing, maintaining, and installing a range of commercial air conditioning systems across multiple contracts.

A strong focus on compliance, health & safety, and customer satisfaction is required. The ideal candidate has City & Guilds/NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning with F-Gas Category 1, and proven experience with VRF, chillers and heat pump

Qualifications

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
• F-Gas Category 1 certificate
• Servicing, maintaining and installing air conditioning systems

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance on commercial AC systems.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on VRF/VRF systems, chillers and heat pumps.
• Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment.
• Complete site surveys and provide technical recommendations for upgrades.
• Ensure works are completed on time and to a high standard with minimal disruption.
• Complete service reports and compliance paperwork for site visits.
• Liaise with clients, site managers and office staff.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures and wear PPE.

Air Conditioning Engineer- Central Belt - Salary up to £48,000

CBW is currently recruiting for an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading facilities maintenance company. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across a range of commercial contracts across the Central Belt of Scotland, carrying out small installations and reactive maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on a wide range of commercial air conditioning systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer and industry standards.
• Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis on systems such as VRV/VRF, split units, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Install new air conditioning units and associated equipment in line with project specifications and health & safety regulations.
• Complete site surveys and provide technical recommendations for upgrades or replacements where necessary.
• Ensure all works are completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard with minimal disruption to the client.
• Accurately complete service reports, job sheets, and compliance paperwork for all site visits.
• Liaise directly with clients, site managers, and office staff to ensure clear communication and customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures at all times, including the correct use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working order.
• Stay up to date with industry standards, product developments, and compliance regulations.

Person Specification:

• City & Guilds or NVQ in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning andF-Gas Certificate (Category 1)Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, and installing air conditioning systems.
• Strong knowledge of VRF systems, chillers, and heat pump technology.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Ability to manage workload across PPM, compliance, and reactive maintenance tasks.
