Job description

Air Conditioning Engineer is required for our client, a successful family-run HVAC contractor based in Basildon with over 60 years of industry experience. They are seeking an Air Conditioning Engineer to join their growing team due to expansion and increased contracts.

Role Overview

The ideal candidate will have at least 3-4 years of experience, performing maintenance and reactive works on VRV/VRF systems, Split Units, etc. The engineer will work across several sites in and around London and the Home Counties, covering a diverse commercial portfolio including retail, private and public sectors, hotels, leisure facilities, government buildings, and IT/data centres.

Position Requirements

1. 3-4 years' experience servicing air conditioning systems
2. Located within 20 miles of Basildon
3. Current F-Gas 2079 certification
4. NVQ Level 2 qualification
5. Valid UK driving license

Remuneration and Benefits

1. Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 DOE
2. 40-hour work week
3. Door-to-door travel pay
4. On-call rota: 1-4 weeks
5. Overtime at 1.5x and 2x rates
6. 20 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 22 after 1 year
7. Company van provided
8. Equipment: iPad, mobile phone, credit card, uniform, PPE, and all specialist tools
