Job summary

Excel Engineering Recruitment LTD is seeking an Air Conditioning Apprentice / Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer. You will work on a mobile basis performing preventive maintenance and assisting with installations in offices, labs, and buildings, under mentoring from experienced engineers.

Training towards NVQ/F-Gas will be provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills beneficial for client-facing roles.
• F-Gas qualification or equivalent is preferred.
• NVQ or college training in air conditioning desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out preventative planned maintenance on air conditioning appliances.
• Assist on-site with installation of new air conditioning systems.
• Support senior engineers and learn on the job during projects.
• Travel to sites in Essex, Herts and surrounding areas for contracts.

SALARY: £25-£28k + van/fuel card + door to door travel

JOB INFORMATION - Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer / Air Con Improver

Our client is expanding due to new contracts and are seeking an Air conditioning apprentice/Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer to join the team

• Working on a mobile basis you would be responsible for carrying out preventative planned maintenance according to schedules on a wide range of air conditioning appliances for offices, laboratories, residential, hospitals and so on
• You would work with another engineer learning whilst assiting them on site
• You would also assist with the installation of new air conditioning systems in both domestic and commercial settings
• As an Air conditioning apprentice/Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer you would carry out maintenance on systems such as VRV's, VRF's, Splits etc. - Cleaning filters, changing belts and so on
• There would be opportunity to train and develop further as an air conditioning / HVAC engineer whilst being mentored by an experienced engineer
• Covering Essex, Herts and surrounding areas you would be responsible for carrying out air conditioning works contracts for a variety of contracts whilst attending college/completing your course

CANDIDATE INFORMATION - Air conditioning apprentice/Trainee Air Conditioning Engineer

Good customer services skills well-presented and articulate with the ability to build trust and rapport with clients

Recognised air conditioning qualifications including F-Gas, City & Guilds NVQ or training currently at college would be advantageous

Experience of working on air conditioning contracts previously would advantageous but not essential ifyou are already on or about to start a air conditioning course

Some knowledge of air conditioning appliances including splits, VRV, VRF, Split systems etc
