Atlanticfacilities is seeking an Air Conditioning And Refrigeration Engineer for a full-time and permanent position in Belfast. This role involves servicing and maintaining air conditioning and refrigeration systems for commercial and retail clients, requiring a minimum of 3 years' experience and a full driving license.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance repairs, installation work, and managing sub-contractors, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements.

Air Conditioning And Refrigeration Engineer

This position of lead Air Conditioning Engineer will be responsible for the servicing and the planned & reactive service schedule, repairs, maintenance, and installation of air conditioning and refrigeration systems of our retail & commercial customers in the Greater Dublin / Leinster area.

Job Responsibilities:

• Support our client network in delivering high quality PPM and reactive works in accordance with our agreed KPI’s and SLA’s in place.
• Undertake maintenance repairs, installation or servicing work as detailed by client specification.
• Locate & purchase items of equipment to facilitate the speedy & effective service to our clients.
• Maintain your Van from a Health & Safety perspective and ensure it is presentable at all times.
• Maintain all company issued equipment in a clean, serviceable, presentable, and safe manner.
• Ensure all Company documentation is always completed accurately and legibly in accordance with Statutory Compliance and expectations.
• Observe and always stay in sync with all working practices and to ensure compliance with the appropriate health & safety statutory requirements.
• Participate in the Company’s out-of-hours emergency call out rota as the need arises.
• Communicate current status of works to our Helpdesk after completion of visit.
• Ensure all professional qualifications required to undertake duties are accurate and up to date.
• Support the helpdesk in their role by effective communication and promote efficiency.
• Attend review meetings where necessary.
• Ensure that work area is maintained in a clean and tidy state and dispose of all waste products in a suitable manner and in line with company procedures.
• Always maintain a professional manner and develop good working relationships with clients and other staff members.
• Support Facility Manager & Regional Project Managers where possible.
• Manage nationwide sub-contractors and project manage any small – medium project works.

Qualifications:

• Proficient and capable of servicing all commercial / retail Air Conditioning Units, Split Systems, Cassette’s, VRV, VRF, etc.
• Formal training / certification in servicing split a/c, Air handling plants.
• Full driving license.
• Safepass.
• Experience in maintaining and servicing chillers installations/Air Handling plant.
• A proven knowledge of AHU, ventilation ancillaries and relevant controls a must.
• Minimum 3 years post apprenticeship.
• Previous experience working in a building services maintenance role.
