Oxford University Press is seeking an AI Lab engineer to shape practical AI applications for educational publishing. You will design, prototype, test, deploy, and support AI solutions aligned with publishing workflows, collaborating with product teams and education stakeholders.

You will gather requirements, evaluate performance, and continuously improve solutions using feedback and usage data, exploring evolving AI technologies while upholding responsible AI practices.

Qualifications

• Experience developing and implementing AI or machine learning solutions to solve real business problems.
• Hands-on programming experience, particularly Python, and familiarity with AI/ML frameworks, LLMs and RAG/vector architectures.
• Experience taking technical solutions from concept through to delivery, evaluation, and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Design, prototype, test, deploy, and support AI applications within local environments.
• Translate business challenges into AI-enabled solutions and validate them with data.
• Collaborate with Education Division teams and Product groups to align AI work with priorities.
• Ensure responsible, secure, and ethical use of AI technologies and governance.
