Job summary

Barrett Steel Limited is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design and deploy AI-powered internal apps that boost sales productivity. This hybrid role splits time between our Bradford HQ and your UK home base, enabling rapid prototyping and secure, compliant AI delivery.

You will automate CRM-driven workflows, generate quotes, analyze customers and forecast sales, while translating business needs into production-quality AI solutions with robust version control.

Qualifications

• Track record in AI solutions engineering and delivering production AI outputs.
• Ability to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions with security/compliance.
• Experience creating data pipelines and maintaining version control.

Responsibilities

• Build internal web and mobile apps using AI-assisted development tools and validate AI-generated code.
• Automate repetitive sales workflows and CRM updates.
• Develop AI-powered assistants for quotes, customer analysis, email drafting and forecasting.
• Integrate apps with CRM systems and rapidly prototype tools.
• Translate business requirements into working AI-driven solutions with feedback loops.
• Ensure data security and compliance across all projects.

All about the role

As the AI Solutions Engineer you will design and deploy AI-powered internal applications that enhance sales productivity, automate workflows, and improve decision-making. This is a hybrid role with a 2/3 day split between our Bradford HQ and your UK home base.

Key Responsibilities

• Build internal web and mobile applications using AI-assisted development tools, validating any AI generated code
• Automate repetitive sales workflows (CRM updates, proposal drafting, follow-ups, reporting)
• Develop AI-powered assistants for:
• Quote generation
• Customer analysis
• Email drafting
• Sales forecasting
• Integrate apps with CRM systems
• Rapidly prototype tools and iterate based on feedback
• Translate business requirements into working AI-driven solutions
• Ensure data security and compliance standards are met

Essential Skills for the role

• A track record in AI Solutions Engineering
• The ability to translate business requirements into working AI-Driven Solutions, producing production quality output whilst ensuring data security and compliance standards are met.
• Experience in creating pipelines & version control.
