Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking an AI Security Engineering Lead in the UK to shape secure AI/ML capabilities across the bank. You’ll design patterns, controls and tooling, and lead hands-on engineering work while guiding security best practices.

The role requires deep expertise in AI/ML security, modern software engineering, and secure-by-design approaches, with hybrid working and senior technical leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Experience operating as a senior security engineer and leading engineering initiatives in a DevSecOps environment.
• Strong expertise securing AI and ML systems at scale, including model lifecycle security, data pipelines, and secure deployment.
• Hands-on with ML stacks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, MLflow, Kubeflow or similar managed platforms.
• Strong understanding of cloud-native and containerised architectures including Kubernetes and serverless tech.
• Experience in complex hybrid environments across public, private, and on-premise clouds.
• Experience building automation and tooling using Python, Go, or similar languages.
• Certifications like CISSP/CCSP or cloud security accreditations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver secure engineering patterns, controls, and tooling to protect AI/ML systems.
• Lead hands-on work on code, automation, and platform design with cross-functional teams.
• Champion secure-by-design architectures and embed DevSecOps practices across projects.
