Job summary

ALTEN is seeking an experienced AI Research Lead to drive advanced AI capabilities across engineering simulation, Digital Twin and MBSE initiatives. You will bridge academic research with production systems, delivering scalable AI-enabled simulation features and validation studies.

The role requires hands-on engineering, strong Python and ML background, with knowledge of FEA/CFD tools and cloud deployment. Flexible working and ongoing career development are offered.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent military experience.

Responsibilities

Lead R&D activities at the intersection of AI, simulation, and mechanical engineering.
Develop AI-enabled engineering simulation capabilities.
Support Digital Twin development and deployment.
Apply machine learning techniques to improve simulation accuracy and efficiency.
Bridge research and production deployment of advanced modelling solutions.
Collaborate with engineering, systems, and software teams on complex technical programmes.
