AI Product Engineer — Build Core AI Certification Platform

Job summary

Dex is partnering with a startup building the first AI-native certification body. You will join a small founding team as a Product Engineer, owning front-end, back-end, and AI-agent infrastructure. This role defines the harnesses, evals, and safeguards that decide whether an AI system can be certified.

You will ship end-to-end features, build core AI agent infrastructure, and implement critical safeguards while driving production deployment and shaping the team’s technical foundations.

Qualifications

• Shipped real systems with substantive decisions on agent harnesses or multi-component design.
• Ability to ship across interface, backend, data and deployment layers.
• Reason from first principles and choose tools deliberately.
• Evidence of exceptional output (open-source, personal projects, research, hackathons).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement full-stack product features from UI to backend services.
• Build core AI agent infrastructure and evaluation frameworks for system certification.
• Define safeguards for AI systems including sandboxing and hallucination containment.
• Drive product development from concept to production with direct audit impact.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering practices of a nascent team.
