You will own core backend components, balance speed with maintainability, and collaborate with product and customers to ship production-ready solutions. This fully remote UK role offers equity, generous leave, and health coverage.

Qualifications

• Strong Python experience (5+ years) with production backend systems.
• Experience with Python frameworks (Django, FastAPI, Flask).
• Experience using AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor) daily.
• Solid backend fundamentals: APIs, data modelling, reliability.
• Ability lead technical decisions and influence direction.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own backend services and APIs powering the product.
• Make architectural decisions balancing speed and long-term maintainability.
• Take ownership of significant technical areas and ship in production.
• Build AI-enabled backend prototypes quickly for real usage.
• Collaborate with product, design, and commercial teams to solve customer problems.
