Job summary

Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group is seeking a Data Analyst to join the investment team and shape an AI-enabled research and decision-support platform. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, analysts, and engineering teams to connect research, investment, and portfolio data.

You will design data pipelines, databases, and models, using Python, SQL, and Microsoft Fabric/Azure tools to automate processing and deliver practical dashboards for investment professionals.

Qualifications

• Builder mindset with a focus on rapidly developing, testing, and iterating practical solutions.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL for application development or data-focused projects.
• Passion for AI technologies, including large language models (LLMs) and AI agents.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience with Microsoft data and analytics platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Azure, and Power BI.
• Knowledge of ETL pipelines, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise data ecosystems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute investment data strategies to improve accessibility, quality, and usability of research and portfolio information.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, databases, and data models across multiple platforms.
• Use Python, SQL, and modern data engineering tools to automate data processing and analytics workflows.
• Collaborate with data, technology, and AI teams to integrate portfolio, trading, performance, and research data sources.
• Design AI-powered solutions enabling intelligent access to investment research, notes, and decision history.
• Prototype, test, and refine solutions based on user feedback, then transition concepts into scalable applications.
• Partner with portfolio managers and analysts to identify opportunities for data and AI-driven improvements and translate needs into technical solutions.
